About First Presbyterian Church of Cozad, NE
Our History
First Presbyterian Church of Cozad was first organized in 1892 as the Sabbath School with 17 members. The current site was purchased in 1925 to accommodate the church’s growing membership. A special feature of the then newly-built church were the gargoyles attached to the bell tower. Gargoyles are a symbol of good will.
